Verification/optimization functions may include optical density (absorbance/scattering), fluorescent/luminescent accuracy and compensation, linearity at specified wavelengths and/or stray light interference. It may be used to verify pipetting/dispensing/aspiration/diluting functions using spectrophotometry/nephelometry to determine concentration/residual volume.
