The PATHFAST system is a unique, self-contained, bench-top chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer that rapidly measures concentrations of emergency biomarkers from a single whole blood sample. This device offers a complete cardiovascular menu which includes Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI), N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), D-Dimer, Myoglobin, Creatinine Kinase (CK-MB), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP). The system directly utilizes a whole blood sample, eliminating the need for centrifugation of the specimen. With a seventeen (17) minute turnaround time, critical results are available to the physician quickly, enhancing patient care.

The PATHFAST is a point-of-care analyzer that will be sold into hospital emergency rooms, coronary care units and laboratories, including satellite laboratories. There have been over 1,000 systems sold worldwide and will be available for sale in the U.S. on November 1, 2011.
